Internal link

SEO Glossary - Internal Linking

A link is a type of anchor text that is placed on a page in order to draw attention to it. A link from one website to another website (called an external link) is called an entry point.

A link from one webpage to another webpage is also considered an entry point.

The purpose of links is to help users find information more easily. For example, if you have a web page about your company and you want people to know about it, you will probably want to include some form of hyperlink on it. This can be done by linking from another page on your site or by linking from an external site (such as Wikipedia). Your link to a webpage, blog post or other resource on the same website will look like this:

<a href=”https://www.yourwebsite.com/post-name?title=your-post-title”>Link text</a>

The link text should contain some sort of anchor text that directs people to the page you’re linking to.
